IronGate named to Profit HOT50 list, for second year in a row

OTTAWA, Canada (September 10th, 2009) - Five years ago when Sean Costello founded IronGate Server Management and Consulting, a Macintosh integration firm, he focused on providing straightforward support to the burgeoning Apple business market. He quickly assembled a top-notch team of experts, and then proceeded to earn an enviable reputation in the field. In 2008, IronGate expanded its service offering to include managed, offsite backups, and today the team’s ongoing efforts are being recognized with IronGate being named, for the second year in a row, to the PROFIT HOT 50 list of emerging companies. IronGate is the only Macintosh integration company to make the list, and one of only three companies from Ottawa.

The PROFIT HOT 50 is the definitive ranking of Canada’s emerging growth companies. Published in the October issue of PROFIT magazine and online at PROFITguide.com, the PROFIT HOT 50 ranks young firms by two-year revenue growth.

“There is simply no substitute for reliable, consistent service,” said Kristin Green, author and consultant to small business owners in the Toronto area. “I wouldn’t settle for anything less when it comes to my clients’ needs, and the folks at IronGate deliver in spades.”

According to Mr. Costello, the marketing and broadcast industries have always been heavy Mac users and consequently a significant portion of his growth has come from these sectors. However, a growing number of business owners are deciding to run their businesses on the powerful, easy-to-use Mac platform, and are relying on IronGate as technology partners to ensure they are getting the most out of their IT investments.

“As our trusted advisor, the IronGate team gives us peace-of-mind,” said Kira Schoch, partner at Solera, a marketing firm in Ottawa. “We tell them our business objectives and they tell us what IT solutions will help us get there. It’s a true partnership.”

“IronGate is honored to once again be recognized on this prestigious list of emerging Canadian companies,” said Mr. Costello. “It’s a tribute to the quality of our team, strength of our business model and commitment and trust of our customers.”
